The advanced alternative to a CPAP machine for sleep apnea
CPAP machines and mouthguards are notoriously uncomfortable and bothersome. Vivos C.A.R.E. offers a modern, highly effective solution for obstructive sleep apnea (OSA). This multidisciplinary treatment protocol uses non-invasive oral appliance therapy to comfortably expand the airway to allow for better, more restful sleep.
As a Vivos integrated dental practitioner, Dr. Kristin Main is certified to treat both children and adults suffering from sleep disorders. Working closely with sleep physicians, we focus on permanently alleviating your airway issues and improving your overall quality of life.

What causes OSA?
Studies indicate that, in as many as 98% of cases, OSA is caused by an underdeveloped mouth and jaw or other abnormal anatomical features.
In people with underdeveloped jaws and undersized airways, the tongue is more likely to fall into the back of the throat during sleep. This can cause the airway to collapse, which leads to pauses in breathing during the night.
How does the Vivos method work?
The Vivos method is a multidisciplinary oral appliance treatment designed to improve symptoms of mild to moderate OSA. Instead of having to use uncomfortable sleep devices, the Vivos method has an average treatment time of 18 months! With this advanced approach, you can reach your sleep goals and restore your health.
Vivos gives patients a non-invasive treatment option that helps to correct the airway, allowing them to breathe comfortably and safely 24 hours a day.

Payment and Insurance Options
In many cases, oral appliances used to treat OSA are covered by medical insurance (not dental insurance). If you don’t have insurance or your insurance doesn’t cover your care, we offer a variety of payment options to help you afford treatment.
We accept CareCredit and offer low-interest financing through Sunbit. We also have an annual savings plan that includes 2 comprehensive cleanings, all x-rays, an emergency visit, and 10% off all treatments.

The Vivos Method Treatment Process
While the Vivos system may seem complicated at first, the process is actually quite straightforward.
Step 1 – Sleep Assessment
We’ll do a formal evaluation of your sleep quality to determine the severity of your sleep apnea. This may include an at-home sleep test and airway scan.
Step 2 – Medical Diagnosis
Working side-by-side with a sleep doctor, we’ll diagnose your sleep disorder and its cause so we can develop a personalized treatment.
Step 3 – Customized Treatment Plan
Your treatment plan will be customized to address your specific needs and situation. In most cases, treatment plans involve a variety of integrated therapies to address all relevant factors and ensure the best possible results.
Step 4 – Sleep & Breathe Better
We’ll create a custom Vivos sleep appliance using a 3D model of your mouth and jaw. This will ensure your device is comfortable and tailored to your specific anatomy. Then, you’ll wear your device and follow other treatment guidelines as directed.
