The Vivos Method
No one wants to wear a CPAP or mouthguard for the rest of their life. The Vivos method is a modern alternative. With this revolutionary treatment, studies show an average treatment time of just 18 months!
How is this possible? For most patients with OSA, their sleep disorder is caused by improper development of the jaws and oral cavity. The Vivos method is a non-invasive, cost-effective oral appliance technology that reshapes and expands your airway and allows you to breathe clearly.

Sleep Apnea FAQs
What is obstructive sleep apnea?
Sleep apnea is a common medical condition where your breathing stops periodically during the night due to a blockage in your airway (as often as 20 to 30 times an hour or more).
What are the warning signs of sleep apnea?
- Insomnia or difficulty sleeping
- Loud snoring or snorting during the night
- Headache upon waking
- Drowsiness during the day
- Cardiovascular disease
- Obesity
Is it possible to snore and not have sleep apnea?
Not everyone who snores has obstructive sleep apnea, but most people who have sleep apnea snore. If someone witnesses you waking up repeatedly at night or if you have chronic snoring that is loud enough to wake a bed partner, seek help.
What happens if sleep apnea is left untreated?
Left untreated, sleep apnea can be a major contributing factor to chronic, life-threatening illnesses — from high blood pressure, heart attack, and stroke to diabetes and brain injury.
“Main Family Dental is very professional, caring, on time, and makes you feel very comfortable. My experience was one of the best ever. Especially since I’m one that is a nervous wreck when it comes to seeing a dentist. I now look forward to going. You can know that you are in good hands.”
— Ann
“Great visit at Main Family Dental. Dr. Main was thoughtful, thorough, and helpful. The whole staff was fantastic, cheerful, and professional. I had great fears of a tooth problem. An hour after a quick, pain-free visit, I think I'm fixed. No more sensitivity.”
— Todd
“These guys are great! Professional, courteous, and a great atmosphere! Each step of the process was explained in layman’s terms. Dr. Main and the entire staff are phenomenal!!”
— Brandon
“Will insurance cover my visit?”
Oral appliances for obstructive sleep apnea (OSA) are often covered under medical insurance plans (not dental insurance). However, we do offer an annual savings plan that includes 2 cleanings, all x-rays, an emergency visit, plus 10% off all treatments.
Need more payment options? We accept CareCredit and offer low-interest financing through Sunbit. Give us a call at (910) 371-0966 with questions.
